  5.     Due to the time differential between Japan and Wall
  6. Street, there is a market advantage is  predicting  the
  7. close  of Wall Street  before  the market  opens in New
  8. York.   The Japanese markets close at 11 PM EST for the
  9. following day.   By obtaining the value for the closing
  10. of the  exchange rate, the closing  of  the  industrial
  11. index can  be predicted.  After posting, the prediction
  12. program will forecast the values.

  16.      The Investment Advisor is a rule based  investment
  17. advisor based on economic assumptions.  The rule base is
  18. constructed internally within the expert system.  As  a
  19. foundation  for the rule system, basic economic assumptions
  20. were established using the Statistical Package for the
  21. Social Sciences (SPSS). The  Investment  Advisor  is
  22. executed  when   predetermined relationships occur.  The
  23. only effect the user  has  on  the Investment  Advisor  is
  24. the  quality of the data input, and editing of the database.
